Gel Electrophoresis & Stains records are used when a laboratory is naming the class of reagent, kit or consumable behind a nucleic-acid method: amplification, extraction, a gel, or a sequencing library. Read the record for the manufacturer and any code that has actually been verified, then write the sample, the enzyme class and the readout into the enquiry. A catalogue line is a reference for an enquiry. It is not a price, a stock statement, or a claim that Evrinth Studio distributes or operates the named product.
Selection considerations
- Separate a product family from a pack size. Many published lines describe a family, not every catalogue code the manufacturer sells.
- Match the chemistry to the template you have. Genomic DNA, plasmid DNA, total RNA and a short amplicon do not ask for the same enzyme or clean-up.
- Treat controls as part of the method. A no-template control, a positive control and a defined ladder or standard belong in the plan before a brand is chosen.
- If a measurement or certification is missing from the record, leave it missing. Ask for the manufacturer document rather than filling the gap.
